MOU Signed with the GIKI (Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology), Pakistan’s Leading Engineering university

On January 3rd 2024, Plus W a signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pakistan's prestigious Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI). This strategic alliance aims to elevate standards in engineering and technology in Pakistan. GIKI, renowned for producing high-impact engineering graduates, stood as an ideal partner for Plus W.

The signing ceremony, held on a Wednesday, was attended by key figures from both institutions. Rector Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Pro-Rector Administration Sardar Aminullah Khan, Pro-Rector (Academics) Dr. Hassan Zaidi, Deans, and the Director of GIKI represented the institute. On behalf of Plus W, Mr. Shiono, Head of Pakistan Japan Centre, Mr. Umair, Vice Head of the Pakistan Japan Centre, and Mr. Talha, Associate Global Business Division, were present. The agreement solidifies a commitment to closer cooperation in human resources and technology exchange between Japan and Pakistan, particularly in the rapidly evolving IT industry.

Discussion before the MOU Signing Ceremony with GIKI Rector and His Team

A vital aspect of this collaboration involves providing Japanese language education as well as IT trainings to the current GIKI students and graduates. This initiative seeks to bridge language barriers and impart essential skills for effective collaboration with Japanese companies. Plus W also provides seminar to the students and graduates for the awareness of the Japan and the job opportunities present in the Japanese market.

After the signing ceremony Mr. Amin, Director of ORIC, showcased GIKI's Innovation Centre, where students receive support from professors and graduates to implement innovative ideas into society.
