Discussion with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), the Leading Business School in Pakistan
On September 20, we exchanged opinions with Mr. Mubasher Hassan, Team Lead of Recruitments and External Linkages, Lahore University of Management and Sciences (LUMS), one of the leading business schools in Pakistan, which aims to produce manager-class human resources.
Mr. Shiono, Head of the Pakistan Japan Centre, and Mr. Umair, Vice Head of the Pakistan Japan Centre, participated in the discussion on the shortage of IT personnel that Japanese companies are facing and the importance of personnel who have both management and IT perspectives. We also introduced our unique IT program and Japanese language education program, which were developed to Support the creation of job opportunities in Japan and present some adbatages of working in Japan as a technologically advanced country for LUMS students, who have a strong interest in IT as well as management.
After this discussion, we will further strengthen our relationship with LUMS and promote opportunities for Pakistani IT personnel and Pakistani IT companies to work in Japanese companies.
Based on the selection by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for the “New Business Creation Promotion Support Program for DX in Emerging Countries,” this project is part of a demonstration program to promote the development of advanced IT human resources in Pakistan, focusing on IT, Japanese language and culture, and to promote matching them with Japanese companies in the field of human resource development in Pakistan.
