Plus W supported to build a original training program for developing “Bridge Persons” to expand DX at Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation
TFHD digital, a DX function company, has developed a practical trainee program
Plus W Inc. (Headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Founder and CEO: Wakako Sakurai; hereinafter “Plus W”) is pleased to announce that Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Corporation (Headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hironori Nishikawa; hereinafter “Tokyu Fudosan Holdings”) has established the "Bridge Person" program in collaboration with TFHD digital Inc. (Headquartered: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hitoshi Uemura; hereinafter “TFHD digital”), which is in charge of acquiring and training advanced digital human resources, to develop a practical trainee program to foster “bridge persons,” who are the key to promoting DX throughout the Group. Specifically, during the period from October 2022 to July 2023, we invited candidates from the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group to participate in the practical trainee program four times, and contributed to the development of a total of 19 “bridge persons” who connect business and digital.
DX moves from the phase of “tackling” to the phase of “producing results”
In order to accelerate value creation through DX in the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group TFHD digital started operations in April 2022 as a DX function company. As a group of digital experts leading DX in the real estate industry, TFHD digital supports the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group in promoting DX. As part of this effort, we have positioned the human resources that connect business and digital as "bridge persons" and have focused on training activities.
Our commitment to training “Bridge Persons”
In the near future, further advances in digital technology are expected and the social native generation will play a leading role in the economy. The key to competitiveness will be the ability to create seamless and personalized services.
Furthermore, we believe that the convergence of real estate and digital technology will provide an opportunity to increase the competitiveness and profitability of the real estate business domain, as was the case in the development process of the real estate finance business in the past. In order to gain an edge in the industry, we must strengthen our IT infrastructure, make strategic efforts to develop digital human resources, and steadily expand the successful DX experience within the Group. We believe that there is a need to steadily expand the successful experience of DX within the Group.
The Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group has defined “bridge person” as human resources who incorporate digital into business and proactively promote projects, and has launched this program as one of its development measures. The development of bridge persons, who are required to be multidisciplinary, can only be acquired through practice. Therefore, by creating opportunities for bridge persons to gain practical experience within the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group, we will continue to work toward further development and success of bridge persons.
Practical program design that leads to “results”
This program is not limited to classroom learning, but is designed to have practical content that can be immediately utilized in the workplace. Specifically, participants, the “trainees”, will create a "project plan" as an output through a total of 10 lectures, and the plan will be presented by the trainees to their former superiors in the final session. The trainees themselves will discuss issues that they are facing in the peripheral areas of their work, and through this project, they will communicate with the lecturers and tutors to identify areas for improvement, which will enable them to create productivity and add value that could not be realized in their previous work flow. The program is designed to be effective in resolving issues and conflicts that arise in the course of running the project.
Utilizing external human resources with a wealth of DX experience as lecturers and tutors
The “lecturers” in charge of lectures and “tutors” who provide advice to each trainee were assigned as sideline and freelance personnel with experience in launching and promoting DX projects, who are still active at the forefront of business companies and have cutting-edge skills. They have experience in launching and promoting DX projects, and are still active on the front lines of business companies.
The program content is not a one-way lecture by the instructor, but rather an interactive session between the tutor and the trainee, designed to enable the trainee to gain active experience. In addition to the 10 lectures, the program also includes 1-on-1 time with the lecturers and tutors to support each trainee’s level of understanding and proficiency so that they can improve their ability to perform and gain confidence as future bridge persons.
Overview of the DX Practical Trainee Program
A total of four programs were implemented from October 2022 to July 2023.
Utilizing partners with practical knowledge of DX
This program was developed with the support of Plus W, which provides services ranging from strategy formulation in the DX area to placement of human resources, and leverages Plus W’s strength in having many sideline personnel who are active as front runners in the area of corporate DX promotion, By assigning lecturers and tutors mainly from the front lines of web business companies, Plus W has designed a unique program that addresses the issues faced by trainees in their actual work and organizations, and creates a structured environment in which DX is promoted. We believe that we were able to contribute to the realization of ideal DX, which is expected to generate results, by having lecturers with cutting-edge skills, rather than general training lecturers to execute the program.

Developing “Bridge Persons” who connect DX and business in a broader area
Trainees participating in this program will continue to receive support for the progress of their project plans after the completion of the program. Based on discussions with lecturers and tutors and support from TFHD digital, a follow-up program was launched in July 2023 to support the accumulation of study through lectures on the latest DX case studies and PDCA practice by each trainee, with the aim of ensuring that the projects planned by the trainee will produce results. The follow-up program has already started. There have already been cases where trainees have been promoted based on project plans, introduced BI tools and contributed to the improvement of the company’s operational efficiency, as well as cases where trainees have received internal performance merit awards. The Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Group will continue to create new value by focusing further on the development of DX-promoting human resources.
