Plus W team at COMSATS Career fair

On December 18th, 2024, Plus W Co., Ltd. proudly participated in the COMSATS Career Fair at COMSATS University Islamabad, an event that brought together over 50 companies and hundreds of eager students. COMSATS University, one of Pakistan’s leading institutions, is located in Islamabad and is known for its focus on innovation and research. The university offers a range of programs, particularly strong in IT fields, such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Information Technology. With more than 10,000 students enrolled, COMSATS University is a prominent educational hub for aspiring IT professionals.

This event served as a significant milestone in Plus W’s mission to bridge the gap between Pakistani IT talent and career opportunities in Japan.

At the fair, Plus W conducted interviews with 60 candidates, introducing them to exciting employment opportunities in Japan. The enthusiasm among Pakistani IT students and graduates was palpable, with many expressing a keen interest in relocating to Japan to pursue their careers. Beyond IT, students from fields such as Business and Finance also demonstrated a strong desire to work in Japan, reflecting the broad appeal of the country’s unique work culture and opportunities.

COMSATS University professors commended Plus W for its pioneering efforts in creating pathways for students to work in Japan. A noteworthy trend observed during the event was the growing interest in learning the Japanese language. Many students already possessed a basic understanding of Japanese.

Interestingly, a significant number of students mentioned their passion for Japanese animation and games as a driving force behind their interest in the language and culture. These interests had inspired them to connect with Japanese friends and practice conversational Japanese, further strengthening their motivation to work in Japan.

Through initiatives like these, Plus W is fostering deeper cooperation between Pakistan and Japan in the IT sector. By providing a platform for talented graduates to explore global career opportunities, Plus W is not only empowering Pakistani youth but also contributing to global technological innovation and cultural exchange.
